Wrote an original story
I finally managed to finish an original story. If I could only write every day (or rather night) I'd feel a lot better. I only wish I'd get round to finishing my novel. Why is it so hard? I suppose I'm afraid I'll ruin what I've already written. All I need is a sort of start. A couple of sentences to set the right mood. Usually I manage to think of something much sooner. I'm afraid that if I don't get it finished soon, it will never happen. It's just going to be pointless.

Well done on the original story. What do you plan to do with it now?

Don't strain after the novel - that's just Old Year blues talking. Sometime soon, when you're doing something completely different, those couple of sentences will form quietly in your head.

I've been considering self-publishing a collection of short stories. There doesn't seem to be any way of getting short stories published here, unless you're already an established writer.

Congrats, hon! That's great! What was it about?

And ugh, I feel you so hardcore on this entire post. I want to get back into writing everyday. I miss it. And I, er, kinda need to do it. If I'm gonna be a writer. >.>

Novels are tough. But it's worth the labor in the end, I suppose. Kind of like having a baby. Having a baby for like... three years. Man, you're gonna make that kid remember it!

What you may have to do with your novel is make a few copies. Make a file with the "original" so that if you happen to "ruin" it, you can go back to where you were before. Don't worry. I'm sure once you start, it'll be just great!

I love long comments. :) They make up for my entries being so short. ;)

The story is about a night when almost no trains and buses left the central station and the only bus that did leave crashed into a truck, leaving the passengers in the middle of a deserted stretch of road where there's no phone reception. They run into someone they shouldn't have. Only a few of them survive... It's not supernatural, just a scary story.

Thanks for the suggestion about my novel. It sounds like a very good idea. I'll do that.
